Apple Picking Party at Philip Orchards

Become the apple of our eye and lend a hand at this special apple picking party!

Columbia Land Conservancy is excited to partner with Nine Pin Cider for the second year to create a hard cider from apples harvested in Columbia County. The second apple picking party will take place at Philip Orchards!

Later this year, the cider produced will compete in the Wild Cider Cup, a friendly competition between local land trusts to see who made the best brew, with proceeds from the event benefiting each land trust. CLC is the reigning champion, and we can’t wait to defend the title!

All are welcome at this fun, friendly volunteer event.

What’s involved: We will be walking over varied terrain and off-trail to pick apples. The apple trees at this property will be more remote, and attendees can expect to walk through tall grass.

What to bring: Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Bringing your own tools and a tarp or reusable grocery bag to collect apples is welcome!
