Slow down, tune in, soak up the forest

Join the Columbia Land Conservancy and Jill Jakimetz for one or more forest bathing walks at CLC properties!

Soak up the sun – or the sights, sounds, and smells of our local forests. The Columbia Land Conservancy (CLC) is excited to announce the return of the popular Forest Bathing Walk series for spring 2024. Led by certified Forest Therapy Guide Jill Jakimetz these immersive experiences invite participants to connect with nature and find rejuvenation through mindfulness practices.

March 23 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at Siegel-Kline Kill in Ghent

“Forest bathing is such a great way to connect to nature,” says Jenifer Rosete, Conservation Education Coordinator, “I love the slow pace and focus on mindfulness.”

Participants will tune into their senses, encouraging connection and self-discovery. At the end of the program, participants will enjoy foraged tea and snacks and share about their experiences. This hike will include walking less than a mile over uneven terrain, which features roots and footbridge crossings. The pace will be leisurely, and include plenty of stopping and listening. Attendees should bring water and wear weather appropriate clothing: extra layers, hat, gloves, and warm shoes. Please, no dogs at this event.

Participation is free, and all are welcome to attend. Please visit ColumbiaLand.org/Events to register.
