Working Wednesday

Let’s come together and care for the land! This Working Wednesday will take place at Ooms.
Projects will include removing invasives such as knotweed and phragmites along the Heron Hill Trails and the Pond Loop, cutting back trails, trash pickup, and culvert digging. As part of the event, volunteers will learn to identify both native and non-native plants, as well as effective strategies for removing weeds.
All are welcome to lend a hand at this fun, friendly volunteer event.
What’s involved: This volunteer event is a choose-your-own-adventure experience! A variety of tasks will be available for people of all experience levels and abilities. A majority of the work will take place on the Heron Hill Trails and the Pond Loop, within 1 mile of the parking lot.
What to bring: Please bring a water bottle, work gloves, and sunscreen, and wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Tools will be provided, and work gloves are available to borrow if needed!
What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
