Wild Cider Cup: A Conservancy Competition
What could be more delicious than supporting CLC while enjoying a local cider?
The Wild Cider Cup: A Conservancy Competition promises just that, celebrating wild cider and local land trusts! This fall, the Columbia Land Conservancy, Hudson-Taconic Lands, Saratoga PLAN, Shaker Heritage Society, and Washington County Agricultural Stewardship partnered with Nine Pin Cider to pick wild apples in the hopes of creating the best local cider. Now, those ciders are ready to be enjoyed!
The Wild Cider Cup will feature a blind taste test of the five ciders produced, and each attendee will get the chance to rank them from their favorite to least, with the winning land trust receiving an additional donation. Each ticket includes a tasting glass and a sample of the three ciders, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting each conservancy.
