Volunteer Work Party

Let’s come together and care for the land! This month’s volunteer work party will take place at Spiegelberg Lake.

While floating in Spiegelberg Lake, participants will help care for this special place by removing invasive water chestnuts from the water.

All are welcome at this fun, friendly volunteer event!

What’s involved: This volunteer event will begin at the Hand Hollow parking lot on County Road 9. From the parking lot, attendees will be transported to nearby Spiegelberg Lake, a more remote location with limited parking that neighbors Hand Hollow. Once at the lake, participants will paddle a kayak while removing water chestnuts for an extended period in direct sunlight.

What to bring: Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Kayaks will be provided, but CLC welcomes individuals to bring their own kayaks.
