Volunteer season finale: Tree planting party

Let’s end the CLC volunteer season in a tree-mendous way!

For the final Volunteer Work Party of the season, we will return to the Taghkanic Community Forest to continue tree planting efforts started back in May. There will be many ways to help out and opportunities to learn about native plant species, proper planting methods, and tree care tips. Volunteers of all experience levels are encouraged to attend!

In the case of inclement weather, this event will be postponed to a rain date of November 12.

What to expect: There will be jobs for all experience levels, including pruning, watering, digging holes, and more. Volunteers will receive training specific to their roles and be paired with experienced tree-planter leads, who can answer questions. Following registration, the address and directions to the Taghkanic property will be sent to participants.

What to bring: Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, and bring water, work gloves, any favorite tools, and sunscreen. Additional work gloves and tools will be available to borrow if needed!

What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
