Story hour & Nature Quest

Let’s take story hour outside! Join CLC and the New Lebanon Library to enjoy the sights and sounds of Hand Hollow.

Gather at the picnic area for story hour! We will be reading a family-friendly, nature-themed book. After the story, the group will head to the trails for a short hike along the Nature Quest trail. We’ll explore the trails with binoculars and magnifying glasses to look for the 6 animal stamps to collect along the way. This program is great for families and kids of all ages.

What’s involved:

We will walk about 0.5 miles along the Beaver Byway, stopping often to make observations and collect animal stamps. Trails are packed earth with a typical grade of 5%. Click here to learn more about Hand Hollow.

What to bring: Water, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Magnifying glasses and binoculars will be provided for the Nature Quest adventure.

What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
