Reading the early winter woods
December 16 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Join us for an exploration of the forest in wintertime at Greenport with Wild Hudson Valley!
With the cold Hudson River and snowy Catskills as our backdrop, we will look at tracks and other signs to interpret the activities of local fauna, practice winter plant identification, and talk about the traditional winter activities of local native people centuries ago.
What’s involved: We will be walking just over a mile in total along the Access for All trail, stopping often to discuss what we see. The Access for All Trail is flat and covered in gravel.
What to bring: Water, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, camera/notebook/smartphone for however you like taking notes.
What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
This program has been priced on a sliding scale. Please choose the ticket option that works best for you!
