Moth Night

Join CLC and lepidopterist Matthew Rymkiewicz for an after-dark program focused on moths and nighttime pollinators. We’ll get an up-close look at moths and other insects and learn about the nighttime pollinators at the Taghkanic Community Forest. Matthew will go over ID and host plants for the species we find.
What’s involved: We will be walking less than 0.5 miles on Bluestem Way between the setups. The group may be stationary for periods of time to identify insects and discuss host plants.
What to bring: Water, bug spray, and weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. A camping chair and a headlamp or flashlight are also recommended for this program.
What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
