Meadow pollinator walk with Hawthorne Valley

July 23 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join researchers from the Farmscape Ecology Program for an exploration of a pollinator meadow that volunteers seeded in the autumn of 2019 on a former corn field at Overmountain.

During this walk, we will investigate several questions, including which native plants were seeded, who are the native (and non-native) plants growing in the meadow as it enters its fifth season, and which pollinators visit their flowers.

Ultimately, the researchers will share with participants what they have learned from monitoring vegetation development over the years.
