Land Camp: Wetland & fen management, part two

This summer, CLC is hosting a series of programs where participants can learn more about and try land management techniques in a supportive environment so that you can feel comfortable implementing them at home! This series of workshops is ideal for those who are already actively managing their land, those who would like get to started, and those interested in learning more about how CLC manages the properties we care for.

This first workshop at Overmountain will focus on wetland and fen management practices. This hands-on program led by CLC staff will lead participants through the creation and placement of fascines to help restore unique wetland ecosystems, including fens. This will include collecting tree and shrub cuttings, bundling, tying them together, and staking them in place.

Waterproof shoes are recommended. Tools and gloves will be provided.
