Grassland bird walk

Join CLC and the Alan Devoe Bird Club for a guided birding walk at Ooms! The walk will be led by Joanie Scheu as we look for grassland species, including bobolinks and meadowlarks. This event is great for all birders, including beginners!

Ooms includes 3 miles of trails on 180 acres of land and offers visitors year-round opportunities to enjoy the rolling grasslands around Sutherland Pond.

What’s involved: We will walk up to 2 miles along the Pond Loop and Meadowlark Trail. These trails are open, mowed grass paths with a typical grade of 4% and a max grade of 14%. Bench seating is available along the trail.

What to bring: Please bring a water bottle and wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear. Bringing a camera and/or binoculars is recommended for this program! CLC will have binoculars available to borrow.

What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
