Full moon owl prowl

Whooo doesn’t love a walk under the full moon listening for owls? This guided evening walk at Hand Hollow is great for nature lovers of all ages who want to learn more about owls and other nighttime critters.

This time of year is ideal for listening for owls, as these birds typically claim territories and find mates during the winter.

What’s involved: Participants will learn about owls and the other animals that come alive at night on this guided nature hike. This hike will include walking part of the Beaver Byway, which features terrain with roots and footbridge crossings. We will stop often to listen for owls!

What to bring: Water and wear weather appropriate clothing: layers, hat, gloves, and warm shoes.

What not to bring: Please, no dogs.

We are proud to offer this program for free to the public with a suggested five-dollar donation. This gift will allow CLC to continue offering programs like these at no cost and support land conservation work.
