Fish and float with Philmont Public Library

Cast a line and let your worries float away!

CLC is excited to partner with Philmont Public Library to offer a family-friendly afternoon of fishing and floating on Summit Lake. This event will be hosted as a drop-in from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and kayaks, fishing poles, and gear will be available to borrow for the afternoon.

Never fished before? There will be plenty of opportunities to learn the basics and get tips from seasoned volunteers!

What’s involved: This event will include a .1-mile walk from the parking lot down to Summit Lake.

What to bring: Please bring a water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, and sunscreen. If you have fishing gear, poles, or a kayak at home, please bring them! If not, CLC will have supplies to borrow. Social, leashed dogs are welcome, but please bring bags for waste.
