Ecological Foraging Walk

Join CLC for an immersive exploration of connecting with local ecosystems by using all our senses. Let’s forage for delicious, sustainable wild foods while tending to plant and human communities and habitats. Reimagine how we connect our lives and most essential needs with the ecosystems where we live.
Annabel Roberts-McMichael is a Hudson-based forester, forager, and environmental educator. Her ecological forestry practice, Tend & Gather, provides consultation and hands-on services to enhance ecosystem and forest health, biodiversity, and climate resilience, while connecting people with local ecosystems through foraging and ecology walks.
What’s involved: We will walk up to 2 miles along the Access for All and Hickory Lane Trails. These trails include open, gravel trails and forested, packed earth, with some exposed roots. Some bench seating available along the trails.
What to bring: Water, bug spray, and weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. A way to take notes, such as a phone or notebook, is also recommended for this program.
What not to bring: Please, no dogs.
