16 Columbia County-inspired flavors, one winner
CLC’s official anniversary ice cream flavor has been crowned.
To celebrate 40 years of caring for the land together, CLC is partnering with Samascott’s Garden Market to create a special, limited-edition ice cream inspired by Columbia County. After weeks of sweet competition, the votes are finally in!
Strawberry Patch has cone-quered the competition, defeating 15 original flavors inspired by the breathtaking views, rich history, and one-of-a-kind community found here in Columbia County. Strawberry Patch features sweet matcha ice cream inspired by the rolling hills of Columbia County, fresh strawberries (because where can you find a better strawberry than one from our county’s bountiful farms), honey swirl to honor our favorite pollinators, and cheesecake chunks just for fun.
“The enthusiastic community support in the Cone-servation Competition was like a cherry on top for CLC’s anniversary,” says Jenifer Rosete, Conservation Education Manager and creator of the winning Strawberry Patch flavor. “I’m so excited to see the flavor come to life and hear what everyone thinks once they get a taste!”
Strawberry Patch will be featured as a limited-time flavor at Samascott’s Garden Market for the month of August. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the winning flavor is being generously donated to CLC. Stop by to get a taste of Columbia County!
