CLC seeks consultants to support Countywide Conservation Plan

The Columbia Land Conservancy seeks the services of two consultants to support the development of a Countywide Conservation Plan (an open space plan for Columbia County, NY). The plan will identify the county’s conservation priorities and action steps that CLC and other local conservation actors can take to protect the county’s most vulnerable and valued resources.

Conservation Planning & GIS Services

Consultants will compile large data sets of natural and cultural resources, create maps to provide a visual depiction of resources to be included in the Plan, analyze compiled data to index and create conservation priorities, and assist with creating materials for the public.

The consultant will design and facilitate a collaborative strategic conservation planning process involving representatives of multiple local communities and work with CLC staff to develop and produce a Countywide Conservation Plan for Columbia County, New York.

  • RFP issued: June 10th

  • Questions and answers posted by CLC on June 28th
  • Proposals due: July 12th
  • Interviews with selected candidates will be scheduled by July 30th
  • Selection of preferred candidate(s) will be completed by August 23rd
  • Negotiation of contract and final scope of work by September 6th
  • Work to be completed between September 9th and September 30th 2025
